Creating fresh starts

Dear friends,

Zinnia

I love Mondays, fresh starts and Fall Daylight savings time!

This morning I decided it was time to get back to basics and give myself a fresh start.

I woke up at 5am feeling rested and ready for this terrific week.

I did a quick swish and swipe (Thanks Flylady) to get my house back on track and headed downstairs for my morning cup of tea and to start getting my plan together.

I was delighted to discover a new meditation series starting today over at Deepok Chopra's Meditation Center with Oprah and Deepok.  I've participated in two of these in the past and they were wonderful.  Here is my doodle as I listened to the explanation before we went into meditation:

So meditation is done (check), morning routines are done (check), blog for Inspired Blogging Group is done (check) and I am ready for a fabulous week!

Lift off!!!

In what ways do you want to give yourself a fresh start?

I would love to know.  I just read a fellow blogger Nancy Jambor's offering and it reminded me that I want to add back in Morning pages to my morning routine!

Wrapping you around with infinite love and the power of purpose,

Christine

  1. I LOVE Flylady! Haven't read her stuff for years but I still use many of her teachings. Life is so much easier around the house with those habits.

Thanks for the reminder for the 21 day meditation challenge. I received one yesterday to remind me but nothing today. Hmm? I will have to look into that.

Your doodle is INCREDIBLE!!! What a fun way to start the morning.

I like the way you make your morning rituals FUN!!! Mine are more quiet based. Maybe I could look at adding some 'spring' to my step and make it more fun.

  2. Christine...dear friend...I'm feeling so grateful for all that you share and all that you do to bring peace and creativity to your life and others. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I needed to be grounded in ways to contain, express, and share my creativity.

  4. I also decided this morning would be a fresh start. After 3 days of celebration festivities around a family member's wedding and a breakup off my own, I decided I wanted to get back to taking care of me. I had a 6 am personal training session. normally I hit snooze from 5:30 until 6:30 or 7 and stumble out of bed. Not this morning! I was at the gym raring to go. I treated myself to some quiet time with no laptop at Starbucks afterward. I felt refreshed, energized, and empowered. What a great start to the week!

Christine, thank you for sharing your inspiration and your heart :)

  5. Yes to fresh starts! And I, too, was energized waking up with that extra hour of sleep. I'm playing in NaNoWriMo this month and I'm enjoying starting with a fresh page to fill. Wishing you a fabulous fun week.
