Whew - what a day! This Wednesday held many surprises including a terrific interview with a social service agency and a job offer. I go back tomorrow to talk orientation and other details but wow! It's a part-time job that is a good fit for my skills and things I have been manifesting at my Monday Manifesting goal and accountability group. Of course now that it is here a few gremlins are chiming in and saying...What? When will you have time for this? What are you doing? etc, etc. At which point I take in a deep breath....inhaling peace and exhaling love. It is a flexible schedule that I set with 5-15 hours a week...perfect for my busy full life and yet still making a step in the direction I am headed. I'm sure there will be a few challenges as there always are with change...so I will keep you posted. Today I also made good strides to wrapping up my volunteer project for the middle school, prepping for my parents and then my friend Sheila coming into town. It was a very productive day! For my daily creative practice I sat down to write this note to ya'll before I head off to meet and greet with my squishy pillow. I also looked at amazing artwork and read some great poetry from middle school kids so it was a good day. Oh, and I also spoke with Ruth, Sheila, Katie, Kim and Joe on the phone so I should upgrade that to a great day :) I'm hoping to have a chance to read some blogs tomorrow and catch up with some of my fellow Blogtoberfesters :) |
That's good about the job interview...Did you get it or do you have to wait for a decision...Sounds like things are moving in the right direction for you...Have a great weekend..
ReplyDeleteHurray for you Christine! I would love to know more about the direction you are headed but will be satisfied with knowing now that you are dancing with your "orenda"!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, it was great talking with you today too! But I forgot to ask you about your job interview! Sorry! Big hugs!
Darlene and Ruth - It went great - was offered the job on the spot. Now I'm just breathing in and breathing out going through all the "requirements" in the midst of an already packed schedule (since this popped up unexpectedly). I'm sure it will all work out great once things shift slightly :) I will be doing in-home therapy with kids/adolescents. I am a trained therapist but have not completed my LCSW and this will give me the opportunity to start counting hours and complete those credentials.
